PART 2 — THE LITTLE BOY WHO KNEW THE SECRET I HID FROM THE WORLD – News

Then one afternoon, I found Rebecca standing outside my office.

She looked nervous.

“Mr. Caldwell…”

“I think you should know something.”

I looked up.

“What?”

She hesitated.

Then placed an old photograph on my desk.

My entire body froze.

Because the photograph showed a younger version of me.

Standing beside a woman I hadn’t seen in twenty years.

My sister.

The sister everyone told me had disappeared.

The sister I believed had abandoned our family.

I looked at Rebecca.

“Where did you get this?”

Her eyes filled with tears.

“Because she was my best friend.”

The room went silent.

“What?”

Rebecca swallowed.

“Your sister didn’t leave you.”

“She tried to contact you.”

“But someone stopped her.”

My hands tightened around the photograph.

“Who?”

Rebecca looked away.

And that was when I realized…

She wasn’t afraid of telling me.

She was afraid of what would happen after she did.

“Rebecca.”

“Who stopped her?”

She took a deep breath.

“Your father.”

My heart stopped.

“My father died fifteen years ago.”

“I know.”

“Before he died, he made sure nobody could find out the truth.”

“What truth?”
