It is a completely natural phenomenon and, fortunately, solvable.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-8\">\n<div id=\"fanstopis.com_responsive_2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This metal takes on a dark, dull color due to exposure to hydrogen sulfide in the air. The chemical reaction that is produced affects the surface layer of the object, and for this reason it is possible to recover it.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Toothpaste<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is not only useful for keeping the mouth free of cavities, but can be used to recover blackened silver.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-9\">\n<div id=\"fanstopis.com_responsive_3\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wash silver objects with soap and water, then apply a layer of toothpaste to their surface for 5 minutes. Finally, rinse with cold water and dry well with paper towels.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dish soap, salt and vinegar<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a container, mix water, salt, a tablespoon of white vinegar and a few drops of liquid dish soap.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dip the silver items in the solution and wait about 20 minutes. Finally, rinse with plenty of water and wipe clean with a clean cloth to remove stains and dry the silver.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Baking soda<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mix baking soda and water until you get a solution with a creamy consistency, which you can use to clean the silver until you completely remove the dark spots.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rinse with plenty of water and dry with a clean cloth.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-8\">\n<div id=\"fanstopis.com_responsive_2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To\u00a0<strong>prevent silver from blackening,<\/strong>\u00a0avoid letting it come into contact with liquids such as ammonia, bleach, or other chemicals.
