Back in 1983, 24-year-old Patricia Clark was pregnant with her second child. Since\u00a0big babies\u00a0ran in her family, she had a feeling her son was going to be larger than normal.<\/p>\n

However, nothing prepared the expectant mom for his whopping size. Weighing in at over 16 pounds, Kevin Robert Clark was not only the biggest baby ever born at Community Memorial Hospital but perhaps the largest baby born in New Jersey at the time. Imagine having a 16-pound baby!<\/p>\n

Though he couldn’t fit into a standard \u00a0crib<\/span><\/a> and his baby clothes were too small, Patricia and her husband were so relieved to learn Kevin was born healthy. Meanwhile, his size made headlines across the country, from a\u00a0Saturday Night Live<\/em>\u00a0spoof to a segment on\u00a0Good Morning America<\/em>.<\/p>\n

According to the\u00a0New York Post,<\/em>\u00a0Kevin stood at 5-foot-7 by the age of 12, and by junior high, he was 6-foot-5. And he just kept growing and growing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Despite the physical and social challenges that come with being incredibly big and tall, he says he handles them with \u00a0humor<\/span><\/a>. “There isn\u2019t a day that goes by when someone doesn\u2019t ask me how tall I am,” he told the\u00a0Post<\/em>. “I like to joke that I\u2019m 5-foot-21. When people ask if I play basketball, I ask them if they play miniature golf.”<\/p>\n

Today, Kevin is an adult. He’s a former military man who lives with his wife and their Great Dane \u2014 a fitting dog for him and his 6-foot-tall spouse.<\/p>\n
