The adults may never be able to erase what happened.
They shouldn’t try to pretend it didn’t.
Instead, they can learn from it.
They can speak honestly.
They can establish healthier boundaries.
They can seek help when they need it.
And they can make sure that the next generation doesn’t inherit the emotional burden of decisions they did not make.
Because when the headlines disappear, when social media moves on, and when the strangers who once discussed the story have forgotten the details, the family will still be there.
The children will still be growing.
And their future will depend far less on the scandal that surrounded their birth than on what the adults choose to do afterward.
The past may explain where a family came from. It does not have to determine where that family goes next.
