She Kept Seeing a Strange Dog at Her Son’s Grave – Then One Day, She Followed It

“What?”

Marcus looked toward the hallway.

“There is something else you need to know.”

The Box Marcus Had Been Afraid to Open

Marcus stood and walked to the hallway.

Buddy followed him.

A moment later, Marcus returned carrying another box.

It was smaller than the first.

And much older.

He placed it carefully on the table.

“I’ve had this for three years.”

Diane stared at it.

“What is it?”

“I don’t know.”

“You don’t know?”

“Caleb told me never to open it.”

Diane’s heart began pounding.

“Why?”

“He said it was for you.”

She looked at the box.

“Then why didn’t you give it to me?”

Marcus lowered his head.

“Because I was scared.”

“Of what?”

“I thought maybe it would hurt you.”

Diane reached toward the box.

Marcus stopped her.

“Before you open it, I need to tell you something.”

She waited.

“The night before Caleb died, he called me.”
