Long after the mysterious bird was gone, many witnesses said they remembered the shadow more clearly than the animal itself.
Imagine standing outside on an ordinary afternoon.
The landscape is familiar. The roads, fences, rooftops, fields, and trees are exactly where they have always been. Then the sunlight suddenly changes.
You look up.
Something enormous is moving overhead.
There is no obvious sound of wings beating. No dramatic screech. Just a broad, dark silhouette sliding across the sky.
