The Flight Was Routine Until a Massive Flock of Birds Began Chasing the Plane

A landing near the water could be catastrophic.

Then Jason noticed something.

A remote airstrip.

It was narrow and appeared almost abandoned, but compared with the surrounding terrain, it offered the best chance available.

Jason made his decision.

He began guiding the aircraft toward it.

Every Second Became Critical

The aircraft descended toward the remote strip.

Jason made constant adjustments.

The damaged engine had changed the aircraft’s behavior, and he had to compensate while maintaining as much control as possible.

The runway—or what remained usable of it—was approaching rapidly.

Jason aligned the aircraft.

For a moment, everything seemed to slow down.

Then the landing gear struck the ground.

The aircraft hit hard.

The plane bounced violently before coming down again.

Its wheels and body began sliding across dirt and uneven terrain.

Inside the cabin, passengers were thrown against their restraints.

Loose objects shifted and flew through the interior.
