Young woman hospitalized after… See more πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

A car passed along the road.

Its engine grew louder for a moment, then faded into the distance. Another vehicle followed some time later. Neither driver appeared to notice the woman standing quietly near the fence.

That ordinary indifference felt unexpectedly comforting.

The world was not waiting for Elira to make sense of her past. The trees were not demanding that she prove she had recovered. The road was not asking her to explain why she had avoided it for so long.

Everything around her continued to exist without requiring anything from her.

She found that she could appreciate the simplicity of the moment.

The breeze moved through the branches. A few leaves shifted and settled again. Sunlight touched the upper parts of the tree while the ground beneath it remained partly shaded.

She looked at the plaque once more.

The words were still there, weathered but readable. They did not become less meaningful when she looked away and then back again.
