Step back from the screen.
Relax your eyes.
Try to imagine the outline of a face.
And most importantly, don’t assume that what you’re looking at is exactly what it first appears to be.
Because that’s the entire trick.
The man isn’t hiding behind the trees or sitting somewhere on the river. He’s hiding in plain sight – created by the very landscape you’ve been looking at all along.
And once you finally see his hat and the outline of his face, you may find yourself wondering how you ever missed him in the first place.
