34. Consent Is More Important Than Compatibility
Two people can be deeply attracted to one another and still have different sexual preferences.
That is normal.
Compatibility does not mean wanting exactly the same things.
It means being able to negotiate those differences respectfully.
You can say:
“I like this.”
Your partner can say:
“I like that.”
Then together you decide what works for both of you.
No one should feel obligated because they are married, dating, or in a long-term relationship.
Consent remains relevant every time.
35. If Something Hurts, Speak Up
This point is especially important because some positions can place different physical demands on the body.
Pain is not something you need to “push through” for the sake of your partner.
If something feels uncomfortable, say so.
Adjust.
Stop.
Try something else.
If pain is recurring or severe, talk to a healthcare professional.
Sex should not be a test of how much discomfort you can tolerate.
