She Didn’t Cut Her Hair for 25 Years – Then One Decision Changed Everything

Normally, getting ready involved a series of familiar steps.

She had to gather her hair.

She had to make sure it wasn’t tangled.

She had to decide whether to braid it or tie it back.

She had to be careful not to sit on it or catch it underneath her clothing.

All of that had become second nature.

Now it took only a few minutes.

She washed her hair.

She dried it.

She looked in the mirror.

And then she was done.

There was no enormous bundle to manage.

No long braid hanging down her back.

No need to spend extra time arranging it before getting dressed.

It was almost strange how simple everything suddenly felt.

The Mirror Showed Someone Familiar

The first few times Rosa looked at herself, she may have felt as though she were seeing a stranger.

The face was familiar.

The eyes were familiar.

The smile was familiar.
